Capital One offer a number of credit cards, ideal for balance transfers or purchases, for borrowers with an excellent credit history. A Classic card is available for borrowers who want to establish or strengthen their credit rating.

Capital One is a prime example of the benefits of a having a good credit rating. The typical APR (Annual Percentage Rate) on the Classic card is almost double that on the Platinum card.

Other benefits of the Platinum Capital One card include 0% interest on purchases and balance transfers. Neither of these perks applies to the Classic card. Both Capital one credit cards entail a balance transfer fee of 3%. Applicants must be over 18.
