Skipton gives help with HIPs

With three working days to go until the August 1st deadline, sellers of four or more bedroomed properties requiring a Home Information Pack (HIP), are being offered a helping hand by Skipton Building Society.

The mutual's new HIP service costs £349 (including VAT) and is available through its 79 branches across the UK, or via its website. And for anyone subsequently taking out a mortgage on their new property with the Society, the pack will be free.

The full fee will be reimbursed for anyone taking a Skipton HIP between August 1st and December 31st 2007 who subsequently takes out their mortgage directly with the Society within 12 months of the date of their HIP.
