The act of Arson is to intentionally or recklessly set fire to any property.
Area of subsidence, heave, landslip or flood

Your property is not in an area which has a history of subsidence, heave, landlsip or flood if:-
  • To the best of your knowledge your property is not built near or adjacent to an area which has experienced subsidence, heave or landslip even if your own property is unaffected.
  • AND your property is not built within 250 metres of an area which has experienced flood even if your own property has not flooded.
Structural
Good state of repair is a property without structural problems such as dry rot, rot or infestation requiring timber or window replacement.
Damp, roof or chimney stack damage, faulty wiring or incomplete construction.
Flooding
Our definition of flooding is overflowing of rivers, canals, heavy rains or inundation from the sea.
